What is Mold? Mold (microbial growth) is an organic growth. It is the bi-product of moisture, warmth and organic material. There are many types of mold and each comes with its own level of danger from the mild easily cleaned mildew to extremely toxic varieties. Mold can directly affect the breathable air in your home potentially causing respiratory issues and illness. People with mold allergies or asthma may experience more severe reactions. Symptoms of mold exposure can include a stuffy nose, sore throat, coughing, wheezing, burning eyes or skin rashes.
Why hire iHome Check to inspect and conduct mold testing when there are many companies that advertise and offer free mold inspections? These free inspections do not include free air testing; this is an additional service these companies add-on once they are standing in your home. These companies are typically remediation companies that have a vested interest in finding mold in your home and getting a contract signed to conduct the repairs.
iHomeCheck will do a physical inspection and air test. We do charge for this service, but we don’t have a vested interest in the outcome. We will provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision. We do not do repairs or mold remediation. What we can promise is that we will investigate areas where mold likely starts and conduct air tests. Our goal is to make sure that you are safe in your home and are armed with the information that you need to have conversations with your insurance company and remediation companies.
